Introduction to Google and its Environment

Google managed to become one of the most successful and respected companies in the world, gaining credit for their exceptional performance and contribution to society. Google managed to do all of this in just over a 16 years period, a time span in which no other company has made such an immense progress. The company employs thousands of talented people, coming from all around the world, and it is truly amazing how fast it got there with the fact that it was a two-man college project (Google Inc, 2014).

Google is a web based company founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1998. The sole purpose of the company is to provide information to its global audience via its ingenious search engine.

Google hold the number one rank when it comes to information-seeking, because they maintain a "rich" database, unmatched by its competitors. Their search service is free of charge and highly efficient, due to the complex simplicity behind their engine which offers incomparable speed of relevant information return. Google is not just about searching, Google is about finding. Finding the information you need in the shortest period of time, a service offered by the 158 domains currently available. (Google Inc, 2014).

With headquarter in California, it's a multibillion-dollar global organization that employs more than 19,000 people and has 70 offices in more than 40 countries globally.
