1. Provide a broad overview where we start at the 1500's and end up at about the 1900's by saying

What relevance is it to us?

As students do we need to know this? After all we are not history students.

If we need to know it, the question we could be asked in an exam is

The answer to this would be

It's not a history course saying learn this page, because it happened then, learn this page because somebody wants power.

It's the relevance of the thinking, and what really as social workers and social policy students we are interested in thinking behind the legalisation.

Has thinking changed?

Or have we gone back?

2. We also explore the development of the principles of welfare. So we would say we have certain principles in order to decide

Who gets welfare?

Why do they get welfare?

How do they get welfare?

Where do the and where do these principles come from?

Do we all agree on them?

So we shall explore the principles.

3. The last one is to identify cyclical nature of social policy. The quote is telling the answer below
