Before my dad played in Port Huron, he played in Canada for a while. Also, he played for the Washington Capitals for ten games. But when he moved to Port Huron he was kind of upset because he could not play in his home country. He thought he would never make it to the N.H.L. but he was wrong. He worked as hard as he could, and he was able to get his shot. Unfortunately he only got one assist and only played the ten games, he had a three-year contract with them.

My mom was born in Port Huron, Michigan and grew up around a hockey rink, and was in love with the game. Port Huron had a team called Port Huron Flags that she used to go and watch all the time. She met my dad when he played for the team. My dad was born in Barrie, Ontario, Canada.

He moved to the United States when he was about twenty years old or so. When he played for the Flags, my mom and him went out after every game. Well, when my dad was traded to the Toledo Goldiggers in Toledo, Ohio, my mom moved there with him. She now went to all the Goldiggers' games.
