InterClean, Inc. is a major player on the sanitation scene; future profitability hinges on fulfilling the emerging need. Currently, the sales force excels at demonstrating and selling product, but under the newly proposed solutions/service model, representatives will be grouped into multifunctional teams prepared to support InterClean's high-quality service (Scenario, 2006). As the scenario states InterClean has been evolving in response to changes that are governing the environments safety.
While the safety of the environment has created more work for the customers, it has also created new opportunities for InterClean. The goal of the company is to provide a full spectrum of cleaning services and solutions that will become the major avenue for sales (Scenario, 2006). The organizations structure will have to be geared around the new vision of the company. The human resource department will need to assist at determining if the sales and marketing team have the skills in place that will enable the company to make an effective transition (Scenario, 2006).
