I have selected to write about the Do Not Call Implementation Act of 2003 and the Child's Internet Protection Act of 2000. In this paper, I will discuss why the law passed these acts and why each of them have had an important role in improving information technology. The Do Not call Act of 2003 will be the first topic discussed, followed bt the Child's Protection Act of 2000.

Do Not Call Act of 2003

What is "The Do Not Call Implementation Act" of 2003? The Do Not Call Implementation Act of 2003, according to U.S Legal (2014), is a bill that was sponsored by Billy Tauzin and John Dingell and then signed into law by our president at the time George w. Bush on March 11, 2003.

This bill was passed in order to protect the consumers from unwanted telephone calls from telemarketers (U.S Legal (2014). According to govtrak.us, the Do Not Call Implementation Act of 2003 gives authorization to the Federal Trade Commission to propagate regulations establishing the appropriate fees that are necessary to begin and administer the requirements for the "do-not-call" registry of the Telemarketing Sales Rules. These rules prohibits telemarketers from calling any of the individuals that are on the Do Not Call Registry list (2014). The Do Not Call Implementation Act of 2003 allows people to registry their phone number to stop the harassing calls from telemarketers. According to Do Not Call List (N.D), The Do Not Call Registry does not prevent all unwanted calls and it does not cover the following issues,
