Inline skating is one of my favorite sports. Inline skating is a great way to combine fitness with fun. This sport is suitable for all ages and can be done almost anywhere. Inline skating is not difficult to do. However, if you are a beginner, I want to give you several tips before you start.
There are many types of skates that you can choose from. Inline skates can be used for aggressive skating, fitness training, hockey, or racing. Aggressive skates are made for doing stunts on ramps and rails. They have small wheels, a grind plate, and are constructed to withstand extreme use. Fitness skates are lighter than other skates, offer a lower-cut boot, and have large wheels. Hockey skates are made of stitched leather and lace up for a very close fit. They have wheels designed for very quick movements. Racing skates have five wheels, and a low-cut leather boot.

Once you have determined your particular interest, now you should think about safety before you start. Helmets, wrist guards, and knee and elbow pads are good protection from nasty or serious injury. Wearing protective gear also increases your confidence, enabling you to learn to skate faster. If you are ready to start inline skating with protection, find a safe place, and keep the following steps in mind. First, practice your balance before you start rolling. Your weight should be balanced on the balls of your feet. Second, do not stand up straight with your weight on your heels. If you do that, you might fall backwards. Try to fall forwards rather than backwards and practice falling down well. Practicing falling down is a good way to get rid of being afraid of falling...
