The longest journey of a person is the journey inward, Dag Hammerskjvld.

An inner journey is a powerful voyage of the mind, soul and spirit that impacts on all aspects of a persons life. Inner journeys provide personal, spiritual and intellectual growth and development. Experiences that allow personal development and growth will change the way that some aspects of life is viewed. Bianca and Katarina Stratford, main characters from "10 Things I Hate About You", Touchstone pictures, embark on inner explorations about love, what they want out of life and expectations placed upon them.

10 things I hate about you easily engages its target audience, teenagers, through a genre of romantic comedy and the use of young, as well as popular characters. Also the use of brightly coloured/ scrawly text at the beginning, the teenage dominated situations throughout the movie and the appropriate use of teeny bopper music would also appeal to a younger audience.

The music lyric's used throughout the movie mirrors and provides greater insight into the feelings or situations depicted. For example in Kat's first scene "I don't give a damn about my reputation" is played and when the audience realises that Kat is falling for Patrick "I'm not the sorta person/who falls/in and quickly out of love/but to you I gave my affections/right from the start" is played.

In the film "10 things I hate about you", Bianca Stratford is an attractive popular girl who is both self centred and a conformist. At the beginning of the film Bianca wore a variety of red, pink and white clothes that were short, tight and fitted. These clothes portrayed Bianca to be sexy, alluring, attractive and innocent. She also wore pearls to make herself seem older and more sophisticated then she was. By the end...
