The strategies used primarily focussed on providing equal treatment in employment and provision of services to applicants, employees and clients without regard to race, colour, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability or veteran status.

Teleplan Service Solutions is a global provider of after sales services to the IT and telecommunications industry. It employs 130 employees in the Sydney branch. Employees and the organisation as a whole are faced with workforce diversity issues on a daily basis. Bearing in mind the organisation's multi-cultural environment where there are workers employed from various nationalities, cultures, ages as well as gender-wise. Hence, it is of great importance for the management of Teleplan to take a proactive approach to minimise or even avoid the problems that may arise, which can subsequently affect employee and organisational level performance.

Interviews were conducted with the General Manager, Human Resource Manager, Director of Operations and selected managers of departments to obtain any necessary details to understand and get a vivid picture regarding the issue.
