Jimi Hendrix Jimi Hendrix is one of the most original, inspirational, devoted artists to ever live. ?I sacrifice my soul everytime I play.?(Encyclopedia of World biography) Although Jimi endured a rough childhood and had a hard struggle to get to the top of music charts, along the way he picked up and new unique style of music and poetic lyrics. After his tragic and sudden deaths he became and inspiration to all ages. After years many misconceptions have been thought of his life, like he cause of death.

James Marshall Hendrix was born November 27, 1942 in Seattle, Washington and from that day on life was difficult. His father, Al Hendrix who was a gifted jazz dancer, raised him. Finding a job was difficult for him and he often did low paying jobs just to get by. Jimi?s parents were divorced. Jimi?s father had almost full custody. His irresponsible alcoholic mother would disappear for day at a time.

She wasn?t around much of Jimi?s life. (Encyclopedia of world biography) Jimi?s love for music started when he was very young. Before his first guitar he attached string to broom and pluck it. (Allmusic.com) Jimi?s first real guitar was an old beat up acoustic. He would teach himself to play while listening to famous jazz musicians such a B.B. king and Muddy Water. (Super Stars of rock) Jimi started off as a pick up guitarist for groups such as little Richard and Sam Cooke. He is career progressed, he was stopped by a small set back.
