Hi Mom, how are things doing at home? How is your job? I am having a great time with Scout and Jem. On the first day I arrived, they had a great day already planned for me. We started with a lunch that consisted of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, chips, and fruit along with fresh brewed ice tea. After we were satisfied with eating, we ran out of the house and raced each other to the swing. Of course. Jem won. Whenever was of us won at something, we always had the chance to dare the other two people to do something at of the usual. Since Jem won he dared Scout and I to go into Boo Radley's backyard, which we were all scared out of our minds to do. In the end, Jem forgot about the whole thing because we were distracted by a huge frog that we had been trying to capture for hours.

English: A small plate with a serving of mashed po...We finally gave up just before sunset at which time and a cool breeze came across the water. We knew that Calpirna would be expecting us home on time since she was cooking her famous fried chicken, mashed potatoes, collard greens and homemade biscuits.
That night we stayed up looking out the window just hoping to catch a glance of Boo Radley. Before we knew it, we were tired and fell asleep. The next morning we woke up at 9:00. I remember the time so precisely because I woke up to Calpirna screaming throughout the house " IT'S 9:00 TIME FOR BREAKFAST."ÃÂ Most mornings, we are up before breakfast is served,, sometimes Calpirna let's us help her make biscuits.
After breakfast, we've been going to the lake and last Tuesday and Friday, we spent the whole day. We have the most fun there since we play with some of Jem and Scouts school friends. There are many fun things to do. My favorite thing to do there is swinging on the inner tube, over the lake. I was very scared for the first few times. The kids all laughed at me because I wouldn't jump off into the water.
They started calling me a baby so I had to prove to them I wasn't, so I finally jumped. It was the best thing I ever did. Mom, you would have been so proud of me.
Other days we go fishing at the local creek behind the Radley's property. I usually get the creeps as we walk through the woods to get there. Usually without saying a word to each other, we just start running with all our might. The slightest weird noise makes us scared. Trying to catch fish makes me relaxed. It's unbelievable how many big fish we see. The only bad thing is that we see more fish than we catch.
For the first time last week it rained two days in a row. On the first day it rained we played in the rain and got so dirty and muddy that when we came in the house Calpirna yelled at us and told us we were not allowed to go outside anymore for the day.
We stayed inside and had no problem occupying ourselves. We found an old box of Halloween costumes and dressed up as all different people I dressed up as a pirate, Jem was a police officer and scout was a baseball player.
I am having a great time here, every morning I wake up to a new adventure. I already can't wait to come back next year. I miss you a lot and will be seeing you soon.
