L'Historia dello balletto This brief hisory of ballet was used as part of an oral presentation in a first year Italian class.
La Storia del Balletto
Alla fine del seicento nasce in Francia il balletto ma questo era diverso da quello che conosciamo oggi; era chiamato l'opera-ballet. Lo spettacolo mescolava la danza e il canto. Tutti e due avevano uguale importanza. E forse una cosa strana ma i balletti servivano di propaganda monarchica. Va ad ispirarsi allo stile dell'epoca: di tipo barocco e quello fino alla prima metà del settecento.
Verso il 1640, quasi tutti i palcoscenici saranno in pendenza; è la prima volta che gli spettatori sono separati dai ballerini. Nel 1650, la danza diventerà verticale; così, la danza alta- La Dance Haute- nascerà . Il ballare è riservato ormai ai ballerini professionali. Il pubblico sarà sempre più numeroso. Le rappresentazioni avranno luogo nei palazzi, nelle case dei borghesi e anzi durante i periodi del carnevale. Troveremo delle caricature dei mestieri, delle battute un po' pesante. Anche l'attualità verrà trattata. Come nel Don Quichotte di Cervantes. Le battute veranno sostituite dai canti molyi espressivi; le maschere, i costumi e i racconti devono spiegare quello che la faccia non può esprimere. Anche i ruoli feminili sono tenuti dagli uomini che portevano le maschere feminili. Il balletto è diventato lo spettacolo preferito della crte. Uno e parecchi balletti capitano ogni anno. Mentre i più semplici hanno luogo nel periodo di carnevale. Nel 1600, il balletto della corte è molto colorito e variato. Serve anche a celebrare i matrimoni, le nascite e anzi le alleanze fra i popoli. Con Marie De Medicis, le rappresentazioni sono numerose. In quella stessa epoca, Luigi tredicesimo creava il proprio balletto e metteva in scena i passi, le arie e i vestiti.
