To Whom It May Concern:I am writing this letter to make known the talents of Artemisia Gentileschi, to whom I am grateful for a most beautiful masterpiece, which now adorns my living room’s wall. Over the last few months many clients have been in search for the right artist, I am here in an effort to end your search. Artemisia is the perfect candidate for your artistic needs and is a very qualified artist.

Artemisia was the first female painter to gain international fame, which is quite an accomplishment. Artemisia was inspired by her father, Orazio Gentileschi, who is also a painter. She did her first major work at the age of seventeen, known as the Susanna e i Vecchioni. Then from there on she became very popular. She grew up in an era when women painters were not easily accepted by the artistic community. She was also the first female artist to paint historical and religious paintings, at a time when such heroic themes were considered beyond a woman's reach.

She was the first female painter to become a member of the Accademia dell'Arte del Disegno in Florence, which is an art academy. Artemisia is a very powerful woman who is capable of painting wonders.

Artemisia went through hard times in her life, that's why the main focus of her paintings are of abused women because she once was abused. She is a strong person that has goals in life, and doesn’t let anybody get in the way of that. In Self Portrait as the Allegory of Painting, Artemisia's self portrait, Artemisia Gentileschi wanted to represent her dedication and hard work, so she painted herself painting, because she went through so much to get to that point in her life where she accomplished her goals.
