"Liberty Enlightening the World"� Freedom is something we take for granted. We think this because we proudly live in the United States of America. America has gone through a lot of hard times and a lot of good times. This country has been built up through an idea called "freedom"� and that is why it is the country it is today. There is one special landmark that shows that the United States is one of the greatest countries in the world: that landmark is the Statue of Liberty. The Statue of Liberty is a great symbol and is recognized all throughout the world. The Statue of Liberty represents freedom and is respected by everybody in the world today.

The Statue of Liberty symbolizes freedom and liberty. This statue is what the U.S. is based on. We live our lives on the principles and messages the Statue of Liberty gives us and everything about the statue represents this.

For example, the torch represents liberty. I think the torch is a symbol of liberty because I think of the flame as internal and never-ending. America is the same way. Our freedom and liberty are never-ending, just like the torch. Also the seven spikes on the top of her crown represent the seven seas and the seven continents. The whole meaning of the Statue of Liberty is that it symbolizes a woman breaking the chains of tyranny, which lie at her feet. The Statue of Liberty welcomes people into the United States and gives them a message. The message tells and reminds them that America is free and everybody is treated equal.
