Loving Others

People strive to be the best they can be. To most people, this means having the most stuff or being the highest position of their job. To Christians, this means following in the footsteps of Christ and living a life that honors God and the life of Jesus. Repeatedly the Bible tells us to love others and care for them as you would care for yourself. Mark 12:31 states this directly, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these." This verse straightforwardly commands us to love others as you would love yourself. Also 1 John 4:7 states, "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God." Through these verses, as well as throughout the Bible, we can see that God wants us to love one another as He would love you.

I believe that the essence of Christian life, faith, and ministry empowers this belief and those who wish to follow God and the life of Jesus, should live their life by putting others before themselves and loving everyone equally.

Loving others is a very important aspect of Christianity. The greatest act a person can do for someone else is die for them. Jesus does exactly that - showing his love for us by dying for our sins. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." This passage shows God's unconditional love for those who believe in Him. God gave His only son for us who died on the cross for our sins. I believe that by trusting...
