Huh? What was that? What is Allah? What or who is Mohammad? If a random person was picked from a crowd and he or she read that, they'd probably think exactly that. Who could blame them? It's not like every other person here in America is Muslim. But, that's a whole discussion in itself. But, everyone ought to a know a little bit about lots of subjects so they could have a semi-educated discussion if the time came.
Islam. That's a familiar word. A major religion that mostly Arabic people are. Close, but, not quite. A major religion yes, but not only Arabic people. Islam, the last religion that came with a book of its own, originated in Mecca, Arabia. It was brought by the last prophet, Mohammad Mustafa (pbuh*) in 610 AD. (Stories from Early Islam, 13-18) Islam is regarded as a major religion of the world. Muslims are those who believe in the religion of Islam. The number of Muslims has been increasing by roughly 2.5 million each year. In August 2000, there was about 3 billion Muslims all over the world. They are majorly concentrated in the Arabian Peninsula and the Asian Peninsula. However, they aren't limited to those areas only. There are many on all continents...
