Since its first inception, Microsoft office has given the small office an opportunity to be more productive and more efficient. Below are a couple of major advantages and disadvantages when thinking about using Microsoft office as a tool for your work.

Some of the major advantages of Microsoft office are that you can do all the necessary things that comprise your business. Microsoft office let's you choose from Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook. Each office program contains valuable tools to help you accomplish many tasks, such as composing reports, analyzing data, preparing presentations, and compiling information. One of the major advantages of Office is integration, the ability to share information between programs. Integration ensures consistency and accuracy, and it saves time because you do not have to re-enter the same information in several office programs. Although each office program is individually a strong tool, their potential is even greater when used together.

A major disadvantage of Microsoft office is that if you were to enter the information incorrectly or if it is corrupted in any way, you might possibly have to go and change all the information that you have previously entered in all the fields of the office software. Another disadvantage of Microsoft office is the abundance of features. In Microsoft office, if you do not know how to work all the features and perform the functions correctly you may encounter problems when using the software. Although there is a help feature for the software, sometimes it may be necessary to consult someone who knows the software better to get their input on the problem.
