In today's world,many doctor's are misusing their privledge to prescribe antibiotics. Many people now days will tell you they would rather go to the doctor and get medicine then going and the doctor telling them just to rest and drink plenty of fluids. Since doctors are doing this for many common colds and many strains of strep, many of the bacterial strains are becoming resistant to the antibiotics that have been used to treat it. For example, back in the 1950's you did not see many people getting strep throat or any strain of strep, but now some strains of strep are not treatable because they mutated to become resistant to that type of antibiotic. These are just a few reasons why doctors need to use their privledges responsibly before people start dying from the common cold or strep throat. A survey concluded that over 1/2 of the American population would rather take uneeded medicine then pay between 10-100 dollars to listen to a doctor tell them to feed a virus and starve a cold.

None - This image is in the public domain and thus...So, doctors are trying to please their patients, and they are doing this by giving them things that is only going to hurt them in the long run. Many people believe that doctors are the reason for people's prescription medication addictions because they prescibe these medicine "because they can"! We, as americans, need to fix this problem fast!!
Where is your main thought?
Essay was confusing to read. Started out with overprescibing of antibiotics, resistant strains of bacteria and ended with people getting addicted. Would have been better if the essay concentrated on the main thought and build from there.
