The Modern Atlantis The travel, entertainment and resort industries have marketed the word Atlantis to convey the mystique, fantasy, and the experience of an advanced but long forgotten civilization theme. Indeed, it was almost three millennial ago that the Greek philosopher Plato created the same sensation and mystery of Atlantis in his written works of the Tiamaeus and Kritias. Today the name of Atlantis is synonymous with the perfect get away. It can be best described as the above and beyond vacation spot located in the blue waters of the Caribbean. With splendid grandeur and no amenity spared, Atlantis still conveys to the vacationer the journey and the mystery that was so long ago created!The resort of Atlantis is located on Paradise Island in the Bahamas, which may be considered as a coincidence as Plato had eluded that the mythological Atlantis may be situated in the Bermuda Triangle near the present day islands of the Bahamas.

However, there have been dozens, perhaps hundreds of locations proposed for the classical Atlantis. Each of these locations were said to be located in the tropics and situated on white beaches with blue water. In short, what becomes a common theme is a description that focuses on an elaborate paradise. The Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island makes wonderful use of the myth combining elements of luxury, quality entertainment, landscape, and the benefits of modern technology in architecture to emulate the original myth of Plato's Atlantis! In March of 2007 the Cove landscape of Atlantis was completed and the architecture can best be described has to have risen from the sea!In the 1920's, an American psychic Edgar Cayce predicted that Atlantis would rise again in 1968 from the ocean floor near Bimini in the Bahamas.
