The song I have chosen to write about is Till I Collapse, by Eminem. Eminem wrote this song to tell the world that he would not alter his infamous style of rapping, regardless of the criticism some people were giving him. He recognizes how people are constantly misinterpreting his lyrical content and that this is the primary reason for all the criticisms. This song has a personal meaning to me for a few reasons. For starters, Eminem is one of my favorite artists and this is one of my favorite songs by him. I love the rhythm and his intent behind the lyrics. This song was also used by my high school basketball team as a pre-game pump-up. It was the last song we would play in the locker room before we had to head to the court. It would raise our levels of adrenaline and evoke emotions that just had me ready to compete, it is something that has to be experienced to fully understand.

Listening to this piece of music from a sensual standpoint, one might have the same experience I had in my basketball pre-game pump-up. You aren't totally engaged to it, but engaged enough for it to affect you. You may not have the same experience listening to it as I did, but I find in most cases that this song tends to get people riled up; almost bringing out a "fight mode". Listening to music expressively is what I enjoy the most. If you listen to this song from that standpoint, you will fell slightly different. When I listen to this song fully engaged, I do feel an adrenaline rush, but I also am listening to the lyrics. I am hearing Eminem's story and getting an adrenaline rush from his emotions as...
