My Second Family
Dear AiW,
ÃÂÃ ÃÂÃ ÃÂÃ ÃÂÃ ÃÂÃ ÃÂÃ ÃÂÃ ÃÂÃ My time here at the Art Institute of Washington has been already both unforgettable and intriguing. My experience in this Institution has changed me for the better and it has only been one semester so far. I'm not even as nervous going into the second semester like I would be anywhere else. This institute makes me feel comfortable and almost at home. The only thing I'm usually concerned about is the giant 4 hour classes and the short small 5 - 10 minute breaks.
My experience here has changed me into a better student than I used to be, for example, in high school I loved school but I wasn't comfortable and it made me kind of turn my back on it. I used to skip school and ignore my responsibilities. The environment that the school was in wasn't what I enjoyed being in, but AiW has a very interesting environment and they give you a feel of family.
To name a recent time this made me feel this way, I would say that I've saw a lot of my old first semester classmates and we enjoy each other's like we knew each other for years. When I first came here, Shelly, one of the admissions advisors made it her personal business to see that I get into school.
She made sure everything was straight no matter how much came up she stood by me to made sure I got in this school even till the last day before the first day of school. I was so moved that I'll never forget that moment. There was also one time we were walking through the hall and she was giving me a tour of the school, I was moved to see that the students and this...
