MYSTERY SHOPPING AS A RESEARCH METHOD
Mystery shopping act as a watchdog for all the companies who want to improve their quality of their services or want to have an information on specific product. The methodology of mystery shopping is that the company hires the mystery shopper and prepares a survey on which both the parties agree. The information is provided on the basis of the factors that the client wants some improvement and those factors are drawn into the survey.
Mystery shoppers are given instruction to test the shop-keepers knowledge and their skills to provide the services to the customers in different scenarios. While gathering all he information provided by the client in the survey the mystery shopper behaves as a normal customer and evaluate the shop. After gathering all the information by the mystery shopper data is then submitted to the organization. Then organization then review and analyse the data. The reports are then further prepared and completed in the form of qualitative and quantitative statistical data.
