Narrative Essay: Change is good

        We have all heard those quotes about change like "Change is Necessary for growth" or "What doesn't kill you will only make you stronger." However, until now, I never thought I would actually understand these quotes. My journey to Canada began the beginning of my maturation and moral growth. I don't think I would be the person I am today if I didn't come to school in Canada.

        I faintly remember that day which changed my life forever. I kept trying to tell myself that I had to go to a local high school. I really didn't want to. I tried to go to one of the private schools but I didn't get in because I wasn't prepared for the test. My mom told me that I was going to take a test for this particular school one or two days before I actually had to write it. After this, I considered one of the other private schools.

One of them had already had its entrance exams and the other two did not interest me at all. Moreover, they were too far away for me to go. I would have to wake up earlier than usual, which would be a nightmare. After few weeks, my mom asked me if I wanted to go to Corrin Boarding School.

We had been at a Baha'i conference in Florida for 2 years before and viewed the presentation about Corrin Boarding School. Although the tuition was high, my mom was interested in the school and decided to send me. When she told me I was accepted, I screamed and hugged her like I was crazy. I was so happy. I couldn't stop thinking of my new start in the freezing cold country called Canada, which I knew little about.
