It is a very important topic because it lets people relate to a particular state and also gives them a sense of national pride. Webster's dictionary defines nationalism as loyalty and devotion to a nation; especially : a sense of national consciousness exalting one nation above all others and placing primary emphasis on promotion of its culture and interests as opposed to those of other nations or supranational groups. Governments everywhere have to sometimes deal with certain situations when there is too much support for nationalism. But nationalism sometimes helps people of many different nations relate and try to come together in order to achieve a better life.
