Native Ametican poetry has many outstanding qualities that describes the people, culture, religion, and activities that Native Americans did. Native Americans did't write their poems in English; in fact, they did not write them at all. Their poetry was passed from one generation to another as songs. Poems described many things in native American life style, such as what people thought of when they were disappointed, how they enjoyed doing something with their families, or what kind of things they did out in the field. Most of the time Native Americans created their poetry as the did some kind of work.

The first outstandong quality of Native American poetry would be activity, because it helps the reader to get the idea of what the speaker of the poem does. That way the reader will be able to understand what happened and why the speaker felt the way he did. Activity pretty much helps the reader to get a point of speaker's happiness, depression, disappointment, etc.

In other words activity helps the reader to figure out speaker's mood and the point of the poem.

A second outstanding quality of Native American poetry would be personafication, because it gives life to the poem. it makes the reader think more about the poem and look at the world in a different way. For example, in the "I Went to Kill the Deer" poem by Taos Pueblo the speaker talks about the eagle talking to a deer, kinf of like the eagle tries to tell the deer that the danger comes. Now the writer makes the reader think that animals talk to each other and that he can understand what they talk about. The poem also talks about a mountain having a heart which makes the reader think of a montain being a different...
