Never Given a Chance

How many Michaelangelos' have we destroyed in the name of convenience? How many Edisons' have we effaced from the pages of human progress? The fertilized egg of an eagle legally has more rights than an unborn child. In Wisconsin, if you step on a snail, you can be fined 10,000 dollars, but a woman can have her baby's brains sucked out of its head right into the 32nd week of pregnancy with no charges or fines - only guilt.

The right to choose is not a luxury; it requires intense introspection and awareness. If a woman finds herself pregnant, she can choose to go full term, have the baby and raise it herself, hopefully with the help from others. She could also choose to have the baby and give it up for adoption. These two choices take courage. Or, she could make the ultimate decision to have an abortion.

All abortion has to offer is a dead baby. What kind of "choice" is that?

There are those among us who repeatedly point out cases of rape and incest as their defense of abortion. However, only two percent of the 1.5 million abortions that take place in the United States every year are done for reasons other than just mere convenience.

Many pro-abortion advocates argue that a baby doesn't become a human life until it reaches 24 weeks and is able to survive outside the womb. Science shows us that a baby's life begins at the moment of conception. This is the point when the 23 chromosomes in the father's sperm and the 23 chromosomes in the mother's eggcombine to form a one-celled human being. This creation immediately begins to multiply and becomes you or me. These unborn children will never experience laughter, they'll never sing, they'll...
