I want to take a minute to tell you a story about an event that changed my after hours life forever. There is a style of life not many people are aware that it exists that involves dancing, peace, love, unity, and respect. It is known as raving or rave parities.

The first time that I went to one of these parities, which was called starscape, I didn't even want to go, but my friend convinced me that I would have the best time of my life.

It was a long ride to Baltimore; we had rented van for the eight of us that were going. On the way up there we listen to music just wishing that we had already gotten there. We would dance in the van the whole way up there making the people around us in other cars look at us like we were the craziest people they'd ever seen.

When we got there it seemed that we had only been in the van for 45 minutes or so. We pulled up to the parking area, which was completely FULL, 1000+ cars in there. "WoW" I thought, "there is a lot of people here." We had to park about 2 miles down the road. It was a long walk. We walked that distance really fast we wanted to get there fast, ready to dance and mingle with some people.

Finally we arrived at the gate where the guards searched us to make sure that we didn't have any weapons or drugs.

Now here we are inside the outside party. I sat there for a minute and just thought to my self about how pretty it was. We stood on top of the hill where you could see all three-genre areas where everyone was dancing. It was full of lights about every club style light, colors, and disco balls you could think of with speakers everywhere. If you were not the type of person that used drugs or especially LSD this picture that I was looking at and will forever have in my head, would be the closest to trippin that any person would come without actually using LSD. Here I think I will put a picture here to help you visualize what I am saying.

The camera obviously reinforces exactly what I am say, Have you ever seen such prettiness? The most important memory that I have from my experience is the people. The types of people that attend these events are the wonderest people that anyone will ever meet. When you attend these events no matter your age, race, or interest you are very welcome at these events. The people that are call "party kids" live by the means of one word, "P.L.U.R.", which stands for Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect. Any of the people that you will come in contact with will seem like a best friend that you have known forever.

And yes the people are weird, but don't let that scare you that don't always dress like this it's just a kind of ritual at these events.

We danced all night long until 8 am in the morning. Which then it was time to go. On the way back we all reflected on our experience, which no one wanted to end. It seemed like it took 4 hours to get back to Richmond. It was a sad day then because we had to come back to reality and the hate that evolves around this world. I will never forget this experience for the rest of my life. I still attend these functions on a regular bases. I don't think that I could ever go back to the after hours life that I lived before.
