Topic: Obesity and Overweight

Slogan: Eat right and your years won't be tight

INTRODUCTION

Obesity is more than just being overweight. People are considered to be obese if they have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or greater. Those who are overweight have a BMI of 25 to 29.9. Obesity increases the risk of diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, some types of cancer, and even dementia later in life. Despite the health risks, it can be very difficult to shed extra pounds, and keep them off.

It has become so important in our academic, work- related and personal interest because how will we be able to perform in all levels of society, if we are not eating properly to prevent obesity and overweight. Sometimes staying fit is not easy, especially with our busy lifestyles, but if we take care of our bodies, then we can have a healthier and successful future.

The majority or our young people between the ages of 19 to 40 years won't have a successful career or future if they cannot educate themselves from this disease. The ability to differentiate from the norm will play a huge role because they will be at the peak of taking on responsible roles in society. Their self-esteem and control will seek its place as individuals becoming more mature.

I chose this topic because as a young person I believe you have to make your life as healthy as possible to sustain a long fruitful, healthier and successful lifespan. Each of us wants to live long, so we need to encourage others to eat healthy and stay in shape. After all we only have one body, so we must take good care of it. I also...
