The workplace that I'm going to chose is Pizza Hut in Belfield as I'm current the delivery driver there for about 3 weeks. To begin with, I like to disclose information about the history of Pizza Hut.

Pizza Hut belongs to Yum food-service companies, which is also operating Taco Bell, KFC, Long John Silvers and A&W Restaurants.

According to (http://www.pizzahut.com/pr_storyhome.asp ), "The legacy of Pizza Hut began in 1958, when two college students from Wichita, Kansas, were approached by a family friend with the idea of opening a pizza parlor. Although the concept was relatively new to many Americans at that time, the brothers quickly saw the potential of this new enterprise.

After borrowing $600 from their mother, they purchased some second-hand equipment and rented a small building on a busy intersection in their hometown. The result of their entrepreneurial efforts was the first Pizza Hut restaurant and the foundation for what would become the largest and most successful pizza restaurant in the world" with nearly 12,000 units and kiosks in more than 88 countries.

Today, Pizza Hut serves more than 1.7 million pizzas every day, to approximately 4 million customers worldwide. The highest volume Pizza Hut restaurant in the world is in Paris, followed by stores located in Moscow, Hong Kong and the U.K. outside the U.S., the country with the most Pizza Hut units is Australia, followed by Canada and the U.K. The Delivery drivers range in age from 18 to 80 and average 50 miles per driver per day to deliver Pizza Hut pizzas. The mode of transportation varies from country to country, with motor scooters the most common mode in Western Europe, the U.K. and the Pacific Rim countries.
