And this year, the worst book of the year goes to ..... The Chrysalids by John Wyndham, for the 10th year in a row! (Look up) Various people have really enjoyed this novel, however, I despised it. At first, there weren't any events, action or even a plot. The author spent about 75%, and I mean 75%, of the book explaining the setting, the lies David, the main character, has to tell everyday to conceal his power and the ideas racing through his mind everyday. (Look up) I personally enjoy novels that have a lot more action then this one. I enjoyed reading novels such as Ender's Game and Speaker for the Dead by Orson Scott Card and The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. (Look up) These novels had plenty of action that keeps me interested. I had to force myself to stop reading. However, I had to force myself to continue reading The Chrysalids so that I would finish reading it in time for my book report.

However, these tribulations are just genetic mutations that were caused by a nuclear war. (Look up) This town is a very holy town. They worship god a lot, they have bible quotes on their walls as wall paper; imagine that, having bible quotes as wall paper! (Look up) ; and they are every careful about destroying tribulations. What if Tyson was born with a 6th toe on each foot or if Jackson was born with an extra eye, they would all have to be burned. (Sarcastically) This will be sooooooo sad wouldn't it? Crops and livestock will also have to...
