It is important because there are many people in the world today who are in need of some type of organ or organs. Sadly many people in the world today chose not to donate their organs.
Everyone should be an organ donor because there is a growing need for organ donors; it is very easy to become one, and the importance of being an organ donor.
Many people around the world are in need of organ transplants but there is a shortage of organs to use for organ transplants. There is a need for just about every organ in the body such as the heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, pancreas, corneas, bone, skin, heart valves, and blood vessels. Organ donation is very important, but the problem is that someone is added to the national waiting list every six-teen minutes an on average ten people will die each day waiting for an organ transplant.
