Today, I'm typing a paper on a movie based in 1966 called, The Outsiders. This movie is the best drama I've ever seen. The main character's name in this movie is Pony Boy. He was part of a gang called the Greasers. They control the North side of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The rival gang members that control the South side of Tulsa are named the Socs. The Greasers are the poor, non-social group, that never really fit in with society. Other the other hand, Socs are the rich kids that are very popular. The Socs have nice clothes, cars, and weapons.
One of my favorite scenes from the movie The Outsiders is when Dallas picks Pony Boy and Johnny up from the abandoned church which he had sent them to after the murder of a Soc. Dally drives them to a Dairy Queen to eat because they were starved.
After they are done eating the run back across the church burning down to the ground with several children inside. Pony quickly runs from the car Johnny following and busts in a window to save the children. Johnny was trapt inside and was hospitalized to sadly die of horrible burns to his body.
Another one my favorite scenes is when the Greasers from all around town gather to rumble the Socs in the lot. This is the scene right before Johnny's death. The Socs arrive and Darryl and his old football buddy Paul talk and the rumble begins. At the end the Socs retreat and the Greasers win the Rumble. Pony was really roughed up at the end of the rumble. Dally takes Pony to the hospital to see Johnny. They finally arrive and Johnny is lying on his death bed in agonizing...
