Pauper
Standing in the dark
Shiver in the cold night air
Roaming the empty street
The only light shone
Were from near by houses
Inside portrayed a family
Food on the table
The cheerfulness in their faces
A warm and loving family
One I wish I had
Lost and alone
How I wished I had someone
To make me laugh
Brighten my days
Most of all keep me company
Everyday hoping
For kindness from passerby
Giving me pennies
For a day of survival
The days get colder
I bundle in the corner
Trying to keep warm
But to no avail
I shiver from head to toe
Sitting in the dark corner
As I stare to the moon
Tears fill my eyes
I wish for this pain and loneliness
To go all away
My vision was blurred
From my tear fill eyes
The bitter cold winter
Made my mind drift
I tried to focus
But I see the light beginning to fade
I feel light as
All the surfing
Had come to an end...
