We all have a different perspective on life and on what it means to be human. "We are only as strong as our weakest link" a wise man once said. What is our weakest link as humans? What holds us together? What tears us apart? Humans need one another to coexist, we bring society together and we are the reason society falls apart. Together we can accomplish anything, it is once we start to point out our differences that we loose our unity and start to fall. This theme of needing each other to coexist is present more than once in the movie "Pay it Forward". Trevor's idea to "pay it forward" was an attempt to make the world a better place, however little did he know what a great impact it would have on society. "Think of an idea for world change, and put it into action" this is the statement that Mr.
Simonet purposed to his seventh grade social studies class. "Are you saying you'll flunk us if we don't change the world" [Trevor] "Well no, but you might just scrape by with a C" [Mr. Simonet] Mr. Simonet gave his student the chance of a lifetime, the chance to change the world and that is exactly what Trevor intended to do. "Pay it forward" could be summed up as three big favours for three people, and then they pay it forward and so on. Trevor's idea of "Pay it forward" had a very widely spread positive effect on society this is evident through the results of Trevor's actions toward Jerry, a heroin addicted homeless man, Mr. Simonet, his teacher who was fatally burned in an accident, and Adam, his friend who is a victim of bullying.
