The "We Will Stand"ÃÂ for Faith and Family 50"ÃÂState Crusade is coming to Anchorage on Thursday April 12. The Crusade is an interracial and interfaith effort with the theme "Rebuild the Family, Restore the Community, Renew the Nation."ÃÂ It began in New York on February 25 and will culminate in a grand finale in Washington DC on April 16. The keynote speaker at each of these 50 venues will be the 81 year old Rev. Sun Myung Moon.
We would like to invite you to attend this event. Also, could you please consider issuing a Proclamation to help promote this gathering.
The crusade is sponsored by the American Clergy Leadership Conference and the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification. It is based on the premise that the faith community must take a leading role in making a better reality for all our citizens. Only through a concerted effort can we stop the breakdown of families and the corruption of youth.

It is our sincere hope that we can read your Proclamation at the We Will Stand event on April 12th. Therefore, I would deeply appreciate it if you could please prepare by no later than April 6th this or a comparable Proclamation declaring Thursday, April 12, 2001 as Faith and Family Day in Alaska.
