Lights!

Action!

Terror on the stage.

You feel the rush,

Your heart is pumping

With the turn of every page.

Anger!

Rage!

The emotions overcome you.

It's getting hot,

Your body is sweaty

And frustration surrounds you.

Sit!

Stand!

Directions are annoying.

But this is your job,

You have to do it.

Your actions they are employing.

Weep!

Laugh!

Entertainment is the key.

People want it.

People need it.

You will never again be free.

Work it!

Flaunt it!

Sold into slavery.

You are an actor.

A simple pawn.

The stage is your destiny.

Start!

Finish!

They don't know what they want.

Your hands are shaking.

Your lips are numb.

Why is it you they want to taunt?

Lights off!

Go home!

The torture has ended.

Your soul is weary.

Tears come to your eyes.

After sleep your body will be mended.

Collapse.

Eyes closed.

Oblivion will soon follow.

Rest, dear one.

Recuperate.

There will be another day tomorrow.
