There are many goals which I laid out for myself when I made the decision to enroll at the University of Phoenix. The primary goal of course is to graduate, and hopefully find a better job when I finish. These tasks taken alone seem daunting, but by breaking them down into smaller more manageable goals the potential reality of them becomes more apparent.

The first two of these more manageable goals is simply to make sure I complete all of my assignments as outlined by my instructors, and to make sure I attend class as I should. I would have saved myself a lot of headaches in the past if I had just adhered to these goals. Of course it isn't always as simple as outlined here. Circumstances sometimes kept me from realizing these goals, but more often than not I would find things that I liked doing better.

It is so easy to put off that which you can do tomorrow. The problem with that attitude is the time runs out all too soon. Procrastination is the antithesis of realizing these goals.

I know my efforts aren't perfect, and I don't always get everything done as soon as I would like to, but I am comforted by the fact that not a day goes by that I don't open up the text books, lectures and notes and make sure I take some time to study. I can see progress as long as I strive to at least do something academically everyday. This is a way of breaking down some of the more manageable goals into even smaller tasks still.
