Freedom. That's what we came here for, right? A chance for a new start. A chance for a new beginning. A chance for a new life. But do we have the freedom we came here looking for? No!

But why should you listen to me, anyway? I'm just James Cannon, that ol' carpenter from down the road. I'm just a regular Joe, a Plain Jane. And that's the same exact reason why you should listen to me. I'm just like you. I'm not some high-class, stuck up lawyer who thinks I have more power than you just because I have money. I'm not some Negro who is looking for my freedom. I'm just like you. And I'm telling you this: regular people like you and I, we deserve the freedom we came here for!

Many say that Britain is the parent country to the colonies. This was true at one point.

She took us under her wing and got us started. But "even brutes do not devour their young, nor savages make war upon their families." She has turned on us. The king "has refused to pass other laws for the accommodation of large districts of people." He over-taxes us. Why should we put up with this? Why should a miniscule island have complete rule over and entire continent with such great potential? In Britain, the king is law. In America, "THE LAW IS KING!" Let's fight for our rightful independence and freedom!
