There are many different learning environments for children to learn. Every child is unique, and even though they share common interests, they may still need a different learning environment in order to learn. There are two different types of school environment children can learn; they are either public or private schools. Since every child is unique, determine a school may be difficult; this is because you want your child to learn in a place that makes him feel most comfortable. Public and private schools have a huge impact for a child in three ways.

Safety is the first and main priority in either public or private schools. The administration and security for the school are responsible for securing and maintain a safety environment for all the children.

When in school your child may encounter difficult situations that make him or her feel unsafe, just like harassment, intimidation and bullying. "Safety at school and the general school environment is a factor that parents use to decide whether or not to keep their children in school" (Grace Chen, 2014).

How has the public schools policy changed in the past five years? In 2007, the U.S. Department of Education Institute made a five-year statistic for the safety between public and private schools. They said the locked doors that have to be locked during school hours have decreased by nearly ten percent since 2007. The uniformed requirement has also decreased by five percent.
