InterClean is a company in the industrial cleaning and sanitation industry. One of the main goals that InterClean is interested in achieving is providing all-inclusive services where they provide a full spectrum of cleaning services and solutions domestically and worldwide. In order to achieve this goal, InterClean will be required to align their organizational structure around this vision, concentrating particularly in sales and marketing. InterClean will have to implement solutions-based selling that will require InterCleans sales force to be more knowledgeable about emerging issues in sanitation, environmental regulation of cleaning and cleaning systems, along with OSHA standards.
With the implementation of these changes along with the acquisition of a competitor such as EnviroTech, InterClean will face many challenges. Some of those challenges that InterClean will face includes: implementing changes, terminating of staff, the recruiting of new sales reps, to providing training and development to those employee who remain within the organization.
The HRM will be responsible for finding and implementing solutions, with the implementation of selectivity in recruiting, motivating change, training and skill development along with job satisfaction and incentive pay InterClean will achieve its main goal of providing all inclusive services domestically and worldwide.
Issue and Opportunity Identification
InterClean has a goal of providing full spectrum of cleaning services and solutions that will become their major avenue of sales. In order to make this goal possible, the company will have to move to a solutions based selling which will require the screening of new sales hire that will ease this transition.
