Pulleys

Aim: For this assignment I intend to investigate about pulley.

The main aim of my project is to investigate pulley. I will start off with a few lines about what the pulley is and what is used for;

Pulley is used to lift objects. A pulley consists of a grooved wheel and a rope threaded around the disk. The disk of the pulley rotates as the rope moves over it.

Pulleys are used for lifting by attaching one end of the rope to the objects, threading the rope through the pulley and pulling on the other end of the rope. A single pulley reverses the direction of a force.

When two or more pulleys are connected together, they permit a heavy load to be lifted with less force. The trade-off is that the end of the rope must move a greater distance than the load.

From the examples I've learn so far it is possible to work out what other graphs of this type would look like and should stand me in good stand for this project.

This research has made me think about exactly how I am to carry out this experiment.

I feel that I have researched enough evidence but now it is time for me to consider the method from which I will take my results and with that my conclusions and evaluation.

A Fair Test

A fair test must be ensured at all times, in any experiment, to keep the results as accurate as possible so that appropriate conclusion can be drawn.
