Phase 1 Individual Project

It's almost that time of year again, that's right it's pumpkin season! The two most family-oriented holidays of the year are right around the corner. Thanksgiving and Christmas are two holidays where family's get together and have a wonderful meal together and catch up on the year. There is always a full course meal followed by different desserts. Theses two holidays happen to be my favorite two holidays, I always get excited around this time of year. The most popular dessert at these holiday dinners is pumpkin pie. I know you heard of the saying " What's Christmas without pumpkin pie? ". I've thought about creating a different dessert using pumpkin besides pumpkin pie you know "spice" it up a little bit. So last year my grandmother came up with an idea that would make the traditional pumpkin pie dessert into a pumpkin pudding dessert, and our family loved it.

The very first step in this baking process is to gather all the ingredients needed in order to prepare the dish. Luckily, we used common ingredients, so most of what you need is usually already in your kitchen in other words everyday products. However, for any reason you do not have something, you can just go pick it up at your local grocery store/market. The ingredients needed are: a can of pumpkin, 3 eggs, 1 cup of milk, 1/2 tsp. of salt, 1/2 tsp. of ginger, ½ tsp. of cloves, 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon, 3/4 cups of sugar, a box of spice cake mix, 1 ½ cubes of margarine or butter, ¾ cups of chopped nuts, ice cream (desired size), and a can of whipped cream.
