Randy Rhoads Marketing Strategy

One of the most influential guitarists was and still is, Randy Rhoads. This guitarist, who died in 1982, was a very humble and exceptional musician. He not only was an inventor of sounds but he was a student of music While signed with Ozzy Osbourne and on tour, he would seek out guitar teachers to learn more on the art of music.

In an attempt to head guitar wanna-bes into the right direction, I would not only have pictures and quotes of respected musicians but I would have music clips of his exceptional work. Since most guitar wanna-bes are young males. I would then have good looking woman, between the ages of 18-24 to pose in ads and also say something of how Randy is the reason they are attracted to musicians. There would also be mention of how much hard work he put into his playing and to not give up, no matter what happens.

This will keep them coming back for more.

The other side of this is using old photos of Randy on stage as a way of getting the attention of the females. There would also be interviews and clips of how Randy was a nice, soft spoken guy, yet very mysterious. Mystery is a very good way to get the female audience to respond. If you say just enough to keep them interested but not too much, you will keep them coming back for more information. This also creates a market to expand on.

The use of a rock legend like Randy Rhoads as a marketing tool would be a challenge but with the ways listed above I feel he would attract the male and female alike.
