Regulating Gas As we all know our transportation system is terrible. On average, a U.S. citizen spends more to commute then any other country in the world. A15 to 20-mile commute in lot of cities in the U.S can take up to an hour. Something needs to be done! Adding more lanes on existing freeways is not working, and building more freeways will just prolong the inevitable "" more roads more traffic, need more roads. Something should be done to lighten the load that our freeways are being put though each day. Should the government indirectly force people to takes mass transit buy means of a alternate driving day, large tax on gas or tax on automobiles? I blame the government for not regulating the monopoly that the auto industry has put on us. The unregulated auto industry has forced the government to build freeways and to show how the auto would be the thing of the future, and now we are swimming in cars and trucks on a large vast parking lot from coast to coast.
