Explain why the belief in the death and resurrection of Jesus is so important to Christianity

Beliefs play a significant role in the Christian way of life as they are the most important characteristic, especially the belief in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This paradigm is the core belief and teaching of Christianity which is the basis for all other beliefs, the central paradigm of the Christian beliefs is "life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ for the salvation of all humanity". The four other beliefs which branch off the central paradigm are; salvation, revelation, divinity and humanity of Jesus Christ and the nature of God and the Trinity.

The central paradigm of Christianity is the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ for the salvation of humanity.

The central paradigm explores the divinity of Jesus and his humanity, this is based on the suffering of Jesus' death on the cross and his resurrection three days after his death, which expressed his divinity, and these events are all recorded in the New Testament of the Bible, John 11:25 tells Christians that Jesus says "I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live". These events are extremely important because firstly it provides proof of Jesus' Humanity, divinity and after life. Secondly the central belief makes Christianity unique and different from all other religions, it is why Christians call themselves Christian's, after Jesus Christ. Thirdly the resurrection of Jesus which provides the believer with the meaning of their lives and a source of hope. Finally, the paradigm is linked...
