Role and Function of Law

This paper will be discussing how the roles and functions of law pertaining to businesses and our society as it today. Laws actually play a huge role in our business and in our society lives. They help to regulate our social behaviors and in turn we get an efficient running society. Also, laws help with ethical expectations and standards by providing much needed rules. Such as rules of conduct, the means on how to enforce them, and different ways of settling disputes. There are also many functions of law that help our businesses and society today. They include such matters of promoting social justice, peace keeping, helping our economic growth with free competition through our businesses, along with environmental protection, and much more.

However, even as laws seem to appear to be simple, our judicial and legal system is at best, very complex.

Without having such laws in place for our nations today, society would be very ineffective and businesses would be demolished because there would be no one to govern their actions. Our laws of today are divided into many different types. Not in any particular order, I will be discussing statutes, law classifications, types of courts, and constitutions. As you get to the end of this paper, it will show the hand and hand position of how they all play a role or have function in the success of our businesses and society today.

Statutes are acts that have been created by a body of legislature of the state or country that commands, prohibits, or declares something.
