Introduction
Lewis Hamilton is racing for McLaren Mercedes this gear alongside double world champion Fernando Alonso as Formula One's first black driver. He finished second in the 2007 Formula One Championship, behind Kimi Raikkonen after losing a 4-point lead at the final race in Brazil. He has a close relationship with McLaren team owner Ron Dennis. Lewis born on 7th of January in 1985. His mother Carmen and father Anthony named him after the US Olympic gold medal winning athlete Carl Lewis.
Hamilton's first taste of racing competition came at the controls of radio-controlled cars. Father Anthony bought him one in 1991, and Lewis finished second in the national championship the following year. That led to Lewis sampling kart racing for the first time.
