"The third war will begin when the big city is burning," Nostradmus. Tuesday, September 11, 2001 has gone down in history. It is the day when the United States experienced a terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and various other locations. The terrorist attack not only affected men and women working in the World Trade Center Towers but also affected everyone from young to old in their every day life.

As I woke up on Tuesday morning, I turned on channel seven to watch Regis and Kelly but instead a live news report from New York City was on. I was engrossed in what was going on. I thought that a plane had accidentally crashed into one of the World Trade Center towers. As I kept watching another plane flew right into the next tower, I then realized that this was not an accident but an act of war.

All morning I kept the TV on wondering what could happen next. The Pentagon was on fire, a mall in Washington D.C. was bombed and a plane crashed into a field in Pennsylvania. I began to feel very unsafe even though I was at home. What if America went to war? My future would be affected. I felt at that moment I would never be able to fulfill any of the dreams I have.

After the first day or so of this attack I was in shock. I could not believe that New York City had been assaulted. It is about 20 miles from my home and coincidentally I was just in the city three nights before the attack having seen the Twin Towers for the last time. I was very angry at the country.
