This paper discusses existing problems, proposed solutions and the business requirements needed to solve these problems. The proposal will then be presented to Mr. McCauley and forwarded to the IT department and information consultants for review. The business requirements will address: 1) the use of virtualization over existing different operating systems, 2) process improvements to reduce manual input and labor, including the use of handheld scanners for barcodes on material and 3) systems training and increased use of emails or instant messaging to improve communication within the various plants: Albany, Georgia; Pontiac, Michigan; and Hangzhou, China.
