The film, 'The Shawshank Redemption' is an impressive film where Andy Dufresne's (Tim Robbins, who is a young and successful banker) life changes drastically when he is convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment for the murders of his wife and her secret lover. The film was directed by a very talented man, Frank Darabont. Frank Darabont also directed the films 'Frankenstein', 'Faranheight 451' and 'Young Indiana Jones'. He also directed the film 'Green Mile' which was strangely set in a prison and written by the Novelist Seven King just like 'The Shawshank Redemption.'The main characters in the film include Morgan Freeman - Red, Bob Ganton - the Warden, William Sadler - Heywood. It was set in the 1940's and spans about 20- 30 years in Mainsfield Reformatory in Ohio. The film was nominated for many Oscars, however, it never got a single one!
