All three members are to blame for this particular situation. First off, the husband is extremely sensitive and understanding. For example, after his wife told him that she never wanted to see him or his child again, he responded in a positive and understanding manner. He is definitely in denial that nothing is wrong with his wife, which does nothing except complicate this situation. The mother is also to blame for her own downfalls. When her son was playing with her and accidentally scratched her wrist, she yelled at him and ran upstairs and locked herself in her room. Later on she even hit her son in front of her husband. Her husband responds by rewarding her with a sitter. Finally, the child has very little to be blamed for, if anything. He could have left his grasshopper outside and got his mother a more appropriate gift.

There are many lessons to learn from this particular story.

First off, being very emotional in a not so understanding world can result in the person being taken advantage of. Secondly, if we don't stand up for what's right, problems will escalade and whoever is not being accounted for will continue to cause destruction and chaos. Finally, if people don't take care of a problem when it comes up, the problem will multiply and usually affect more than one person.
